StoreCheck Markets
Privacy Policy
Effective August 26, 2026
This policy explains what StoreCheck Markets processes when a Shopify merchant installs and uses the app. The app is designed to test market cart configuration without reading or storing customer or order data.
Data we process
- Shopify shop domain, app authorization scopes, and the secure app session data required to connect the app to Shopify.
- Market scan configuration, including suite names, Shopify product variant identifiers, country codes, quantities, optional discount codes, and expected availability, currency, and total values.
- Scan results, including timestamps, duration, pass/warn/fail status, observed cart currency and totals, and redacted evidence.
- Product analytics for completed scans. The shop identifier is transformed with a keyed one-way hash before analytics storage.
- An alert email address when a merchant enables scheduled checks.
Data we do not collect
StoreCheck Markets does not request or store customer records, orders, payment details, or checkout identities. It does not place orders. Discount codes can be stored in a merchant-created suite so the suite can be repeated, but codes are not included in saved scan evidence or product analytics.
How we use data
We use app data only to authenticate the merchant, run the checks the merchant requests, display saved suites and scan history, diagnose service reliability, provide support, and understand aggregate product usage. We do not sell merchant data or use it for third-party advertising. If scheduled checks are enabled, we use the alert address only for transactional failure notifications requested by the merchant.
Service providers and transfers
The app runs on Cloudflare infrastructure, including transactional email delivery, and uses Shopify APIs to perform merchant-authorized checks. Cloudflare processes the alert address and failure message when a merchant enables email alerts. Data can be processed in countries where these providers operate under their security and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
Saved suites remain until a merchant deletes them or uninstalls the app. Scan history older than 90 days is eligible for automatic deletion when the store runs a later scan. Uninstall and Shopify shop-redaction webhooks delete the store's saved suites, scan history, and app sessions. Backup or provider-level logs can persist temporarily where required for security and service operation.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Access is limited to app operation and support needs. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we limit the data the app needs and investigate reported issues.
Your choices and rights
Merchants can delete suites in the app and can uninstall the app in Shopify admin. For an access, correction, deletion, or privacy question, contact us at support@storecheckkit.com. We may need to verify the requesting store before acting.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revision is posted.
